Delegates in the Bono East Region gathered recently to choose fresh leaders for the New Patriotic Party. Political stakeholders watched closely as the internal elections unfolded to shape local party structures.
Ibrahim Bukari Baba won the regional chairmanship race after securing a massive victory at the polls. He polled 180 votes to defeat his main contender Appiah Thomas Adu who managed 73 votes.
David Boakye also claimed victory in the regional secretary contest by gathering 181 votes. He beat Mensah Peter who secured 70 votes during the competitive party showdown.
Sophia Danso Afriyie took the regional womens organiser position after polling 161 votes. She defeated Kuffour Nketia Akosua who finished with 91 votes.

These newly elected executives now face the critical task of uniting members across the region. Strong structures and hard work remain essential as everyone prepares for the 2028 general elections.
